K4/K5 Program Overview (Age 5)

Heart to Heart Christian Academy

The Kindergarten K4/K5 program at Heart to Heart Christian Academy is designed to provide five-year-old children with a solid foundation for academic, spiritual, and social development in a loving, Christ-centered environment. This full-day program serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, offering structured learning while nurturing the natural curiosity, creativity, and energy of young learners.

At the core of our K4/K5 curriculum is a balanced combination of academic instruction and Christian character development. Students are introduced to early reading and phonics, number recognition and simple math concepts, language development, and pre-writing skills. Hands-on activities, visual aids, and music are incorporated to enhance learning and engage multiple learning styles. Science, social studies, art, and physical education are also integrated into the weekly schedule, ensuring a well-rounded approach to education.

Faith and spiritual growth are central to everything we do. Each day includes Bible lessons, worship songs, scripture memorization, and prayer. Children learn about God’s love and the teachings of Jesus, and are encouraged to model Christian values such as kindness, honesty, respect, and gratitude. Our goal is to help children understand who God is and how to apply His Word to their lives, even at a young age.

Our K4/K5 classrooms are led by qualified, experienced Christian educators who are passionate about early childhood development. Teachers create a nurturing and orderly environment where each child feels valued and supported. We maintain small class sizes to ensure individual attention and to promote both academic success and personal growth. Teachers also conduct regular assessments to track student progress and communicate with parents through scheduled conferences and daily reports.

The daily routine includes a balance of teacher-directed instruction and child-led exploration. Activities include circle time, learning centers, story time, structured play, snack and lunch breaks, rest time, and outdoor play. Our classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate materials, learning manipulatives, and technology that support student learning in a safe and engaging manner.

Enrollment in the K4/K5 program requires that the child turn five years old on or before September 1st of the academic year. Uniforms are required, and attendance policies align with the broader school expectations. Our K4/K5 program operates on the same academic calendar as the rest of the academy, including holiday breaks, parent conferences, and special event days.

Heart to Heart Christian Academy’s K4/K5 program is more than just a preschool—it’s a launchpad for lifelong learning, strong values, and Christian faith. We are honored to partner with families during this critical stage of development and are committed to preparing every child for a successful transition into kindergarten and beyond.

Note: The K4 program is a non-scholarship program, and the parent/guardian is responsible for the full cost of tuition. The K5 program may qualify for a scholarship. Click HERE for more information.
